Democrats Work

If you click on the link in this entry's title you can read a article on Huffington Post by Jason Carter, the grandson of Jimmy Carter. He is promoting a concept called Democrats Work. This is an organization dedicated to using Democrats as volunteers for community service projects. This is an excellent idea because it shows how Democrats could be seen as doing more than just asking people for their votes. It would put Democrats in touch with community service organizations and would lead to alliances with local activists who are working in local communities.
